Vattenfall und EFS vereinbaren Partnerschaft zur Absatzfinanzierung von Solar- und Wärmelösungen
BERLIN, 27.05.2026 – Der Energiekonzern Vattenfall und das Berliner Fintech EFS haben eine strategische Partnerschaft geschlossen, um mehr Haushalten den Zugang zu erneuerbaren Energien durch einfache Finanzierungslösungen zu ermöglichen.
As part of the agreement, Vattenfall will integrate EFS’s embedded finance platform directly into its sales channels. The partnership lowers upfront investment barriers for end customers and supports the faster expansion of decentralized energy infrastructure.
Through EFS’s technology, financing is integrated directly into the sales process. Vattenfall customers receive a credit decision within minutes, including for instalment purchases without a down payment. Instead of a time-consuming, separate bank application, the entire process is digitized and accelerated.“

Vattenfall selected EFS through a structured evaluation process. Key factors included the fintech’s financing capacity, regulatory compliance, and exclusive focus on the energy sector. The full digital integration enables Vattenfall to make credit decisions in real time during the sales process.
The partnership highlights the growing importance of specialized financial technologies in increasing capital flows into decentralized energy assets across mature European markets.
